About Me

Hi! I'm Junkai, or you can call me Kai! I'm a student of Entomology - as who can claim to not be in a constant state of learning in this fantastic field? -  in the American northeast! 
For a long while, I have been annoyed by the lack of good information for US beetle breeders. Everyone makes everything seem so difficult: make flake soil that has to be just right, buy fancy beetle jelly etc etc, when in reality beetle keeping can be cheap, easy and accessible. 
As someone who have been keeping beetles for a long while, and generally achieving good results with size and breeding with my lazy methods, I hope making this website will help other keepers in making the hobby more accessible for them.
I truly believe that if we make the hobby easier and more visible for everyone, the US beetle hobby can grow!
